Shurdington young people have been keen to start up a youth club as there has not been one in the village for a number of years. The club which is for 14 - 18 year olds, is meeting weekly at present in the Sports Pavilion at KG5 playground.

On 19th April 2008 they raised over £200 in coins (see photos) and together with donations raised a total so far of over £400.  Because of the cold and wet weather it was decided to draw penny pictures in the Century Hall; a snail, a tree, the sun, birds, human shapes and a boy flying a kite - all captured on film and video. Well done all youth involved, and thanks to the committee for all their hard work, PCSO Liz Dean for her constant help, and all those who donated money.
WELL DONE.  Watch this short video.
