| ONE WORLD ONE PROMISE Szczecin Scouts in Shurdington Wednesday 31st October 2007 The Arrival and Halloween Disco |
| On Wednesday 31st October our guests from Szczecin in
Poland arrived to join our Scouts in Shurdington for a few days of
culture, fun and learning about each other. Their programme started with
learning all about Halloween and decorated the Social Centre accordingly.
Young children from the village were all invited and many turned up to
join in the fun, music and competitions. The mummy competition went down a
treat when teams of two wrapped each other in tissue paper to look like a
mummy. Judging the fancy dress costumes and mummies was extremely
difficult as they were all superb. So many happy young children enjoying
Halloween as it should be. I understand that Shurdington was one of the
most trouble free villages that night as everyone was in the Social Centre
