| ONE WORLD ONE PROMISE Szczecin Scouts in Shurdington Saturday 3 November 2007 Gloucester Cathedral & Harry Potter Waterways Museum Cranham - Fun, BBQ and Campfire |
| Saturday was another surprise. Our Polish guests are very fond of Harry Potter so we decided to take them on a guided tour of Gloucester cathedral where the learnt all about its history and architecture, and ended up being shown the area used for the filming of these epic films. From here we wended our way to the Waterways Museum, again to learn something about canal boating, a very British way of life. The rest of the afternoon was spent at Cranham Scouting Centre experiencing archery, rifle shooting and the traversing wall, followed by a barbecue and campfire. Their journey home was from Crickley Hill Country Park, where they watched many fireworks displays, then walking the Greenway route to the village for a well-earned rest with more quality time. |
