| Monday our Polish guests were taken to Cheltenham for
some last minute shopping and after lunch headed for Stansted and home.
This was a tremendous event, a first time so far as our Scout group is
concerned and they hope for a repeat in the future. To list the people we
need to thank for making this event happen would take some space; special
thanks go to the Leaders in our group who planned the event and helped
carry it out, Lucie Mitchell and her team for keeping us fed and watered
throughout, local schools for allowing our Scouts a day or two off for
this educational visit, the Social Centre committee for making this
excellent facility available to us, PSCO Liz Dean for keeping an eye on
us, the British Council Youth Connect for their help with funding the
event, and our young Scouts for making their new Polish friends so
welcome. Thank you all for a wonderful 6 days. Comments can be left on our Guestbook. This was truly a One World One Promise success. |
