BALD EAGLE - OCTOBER 2005
Ashton-under-Hill

Nine of our Scouts joined some 300 others for a weekend of fun and challenges at Bredon middle school in Ashton Under Hill in Worcestershire. Scouts turned up on site on Friday evening and spent the weekend there under the wing of Louise, Vanessa, Steve and Craig.
Saturday dawned rather wet and miserable, but there was lots to do in the school's ground, fun challenges and meeting new friends.
Saturday evening at 6.30pm the Bald Eagle challenge started. This consisted of a walk on the hill and a tour round 11 challenge bases. Bases were varied, from a knotty problem, a wall to climb, rifle shooting, 1st aid, map and compass work, and much more.
The challenge finished at midnight, with everyone just about ready for bed.

Sunday was time to pack up, and reflect on what they had learnt and achieved this weekends.
The weekend ended with presentations, and flag down.
ANOTHER GREAT BALD EAGLE.
