SW Regional Scouts Cooking Competition - 2nd April 06
Winners of their individual County Cooking competitions converged on the Social Centre in Shurdington on 
Sunday 2nd April to compete in producing a very high class 3-course meal for 4 on conventional gas cookers.
 Ten teams from Scout Groups in the South West of England took part namely:
Bourne Valley - 1st Wellington - 2nd Marlborough - 1st Wilstone - Pinkneys Green
15th Cheltenham (SHURDINGTON) - 2nd Bulford - Hunsdon - 3rd Upton - 2nd Twining
Judges Pauline, Norman, David and John, went round at all stages of cooking giving points for Menu, Dress, Team work, 
Food preparation, Theme which this year was a Charity of their choice, table setting, timing, service,
and most important, points for their Starter, Main and Dessert dishes. All judges remarked on the very high standard of
cooking and how the scouts seemed to be enjoying the experience.
Prizes were presented by Tom Wills, President of Gloucestershire Scouts.
